It is time to introduce another intern behind the scenes at Dapper Bear! This is Lauryn James, a senior, majoring in Apparel Design and Product Development with a minor in Entrepreneurship at Baylor.
During her freshman year, Lauryn was in one of Mrs. Hassell's fashion design classes. Mrs. Hassell reminisced, "I knew then that she would achieve great things. She has a wonderful sense of creativity, yet she also has the ability to know what the public wants and is able to satisfy that need."
One of those great things that she has accomplished during her time at Baylor is contributing time and creativity to help our local small clothing business.
She has designed Dapper Bear Luggage Tags and Shoe Laces for us! We are excited to share her work with you soon.
When she isn't designing, Lauryn said she can be found, "hanging out with friends and family, flinging [her] green and gold afar, playing soccer, sewing, shopping, event planning, and living life to the fullest." She is also a member of the Baylor Women's Club Soccer Team and the Delta Delta Delta sorority.
She is a lover of all things colorful and, fun fact, is the 15th member of her family to attend Baylor. Sic 'em, Bears!
Thank you, Lauryn, for working with Dapper Bear Clothiers alongside all of the other activities you are involved in!
"Lauren is intelligent and I expect us to hear more about this young lady in the fashion world of the future," said Mrs. Hassell in reflection on the intern.
Lauryn hopes to continue designing and to eventually have her own business.
We wish you all the best in your graduation and time after Baylor as you work towards your fashion designing goals.
